TESTIMONIALS  ~~ "Please send them in" ... Ian Callen

Tons of joy for Chen Tay - click for the PDF on Chen's fantastic achievement.

Chen Tay

I had a Callen bat when I first cracked it into the NSW team at U/17 level ten years ago but have used other brands never since. Sean Moran who was sponsored by Callen at the time gave me one of his Callen bats and I loved it. Are you still making bats? I am living in the UK at the moment, will you ship to here?

Dan Milgate

Excellent job, cheers,

Rod Kiddle

Hi Mate, I'm interested in a cricket bat or 2 and just wondering if you still make them? I haven't seen a Callen bat in Toowoomba and no one has been able to tell me anything about them, I have a really old one and it was the best bat I ever had by a long way.

I have used your K-9 Limited Edition, and the 454 bats you have made, I have found them to be great quality and have found them to be more durable than big name brands. Your products were suggested to me and I never looked back. Great quality.

Phil Richards - Launceston

Hi Ian, how are things going, see your still into the cricket bats? Received your Willow Blue venture on our club website and thought I would drop you an email. Still involved with the Korumburra cricket club and things are going ok my nephew is still using the bat I got over 20 years ago. Cheers

Allan Summerfield

Thought you might like to know the Callen was in full flight yesterday from ball 1.  The first ball went to boundary and there were a few that followed and the bat felt great.  Managed to get to 3 figures with the bat getting better with each ball faced.

The "Flat Bat" for TWENTY20 cricket. Ian had perfected a laminating process to secure a lightweight insert that gave the bat tremendous rebound qualities. Fortunately for bowlers and fieldsman the MCC changed the laws of cricket and production ceased.

Is there a better Testimonial? Phillip Hughes aged 11 after making his first century with his new Callen Bat. Phillip has progressed to Test Cricket. Also pictured are proud parents Greg and Virginia Hughes.

2010: Ian's nephew Trent Callen (8 years old) with a bat custom made for him.

When Ian called into Drysdale Cricket Club recently, Gavin Humphreys was quick to show him the Bat he purchased back in 1995 which helped him achieve a Club record opening stand. The bat has had 5 handle replacements and is still going strong.
